What I've Learned
Before making decisions, you should gather and analyze relevant data. This planning portion of decision making requires a degree of critical thinking. Analyzing problems for decision making can be done through brainstorming, mind mapping, creative thinking, and communication. |
Skills applied
During a community project, Kip, Desiree, and myself decided to tackle the issue of cyber-bullying. In order to do that we needed to make decisions on how to best get our message across; through communication we decided to raise awareness on the issue, we did this by speaking with the local community, asking people to fill out surveys, and handed out informational pamphlets. Here is a sample of the front of the pamphlet we handed out; it was designed by Desiree. We also created a Facebook page to host more information which we encouraged people to visit.
